Government scheme (ECO3) 2022 supporting heating measures

Up to 100% grants are available for heating under the (ECO3) 2022 Energy Companies Obligation scheme launched in 2022. Heating grants can vary depending on the occupier’s circumstances such as benefits received, household’s total earning, number of children living at the property, age of the children. All funds are provided by the major energy companies under the (ECO3) 2022. If you qualify, we can arrange a home assessment and heating installation free of charge.

Reduce your energy bills

The gradual increase in energy prices over the years created a huge financial burden on many low income households. This scheme has helped thousands of low income families to save a considerable amount of money from their overall household expenditure. Big 6 energy companies have an obligation to reduce carbon emissions from domestic homes and they achieve these targets though funding the home heating for Electric Storage heater, Electric Heaters, and Electric Boiler. Heating grants do not depend on which energy provider the occupiers use.

FAQ

What is (ECO3)2022?

The Energy Company Obligation (ECO) is a government energy efficiency scheme in Great Britain to help reduce carbon emissions and tackle fuel poverty. The ECO scheme is set out in the Electricity and Gas (Energy Company Obligation) Order 2014 (ECO2 Order).

What are the different obligations under(ECO3)2022?

As of 1 October 2022, ECO3 will consist of two separate obligations:

1. In ECO3, suppliers must achieve at least 15% of their total HHCRO by delivering measures to domestic premises in rural areas (the rural sub obligation). This means that, unlike current rural delivery, rural delivery under ECO3 will have to meet the household eligibility criteria. Suppliers are obliged to reduce carbon emissions by promoting the installation of heating, wall and roof insulation. Other insulation measures can also be installed, as long as they meet certain conditions.

2. Home Heating Cost Reduction Obligation (HHCRO). Full grant depend on occupier’s circumstances such as benefits received, household’s total earning, number of children living at the property, age of the children and many other factors. All funds are provided by the major energy companies under the (ECO) Energy Companies obligation scheme. If you qualify, we can arrange home assessment free of cost.

If you are interested in any of the energy efficiency measure, please fill up the online form and we will contact you with 36 working hours to arrange a free no obligation assessment.

Will I have to pay to have an energy efficiency measure installed?

The level of funding will depend on the measure type and a number of other factors. In some cases you may be asked to contribute to the cost of the installation. Full cost of insulation will be covered by the grant but in some cases you might have to contribute towards the grant if the full grant do not cover the full cost.

Can I only get ECO support from my own energy supplier?

No. Any obligated supplier can deliver measures to any domestic premises in England, Wales and Scotland, provided the eligibility criteria are met.

What warranties should I expect?

All installer Registered Companies must offer you a workmanship warranty. This workmanship warranty covers work done by Registered Technicians. The warranty protects you in the situation when work is found not to comply with regulations and the contractor is no longer in business to do the necessary remedial work. We are approved certified installed and all work comes with warranties.
